Does this course qualify me to remove or work with asbestos?

No. This Asbestos Awareness (Category A) training is for recognising and avoiding asbestos risks; It does not permit you to work with or remove asbestos.

How long does it take to complete the course?

It usually takes under 1 hour to complete the course, including all quizzes and assessments. You can do it quicker, or slower, there are no time restrictions. Your course progress is saved as you go, so you can make a start, take a break, and then pick up from exactly where you left off.

What happens if I don't pass the final assessment?

The final assessment consists of 15 multiple choice questions. You'll need to score 80% to pass and receive your certificate. Don't worry if you don't pass first time, you can have as many attempts as you need, free of charge.

Is there a time limit for completing the course?

There is no time limit for completing the course. Your access will not expire.

What happens after I've finished the course?

Once you've finished the course and passed the final assessment, you will receive your official digital certificate. Your certificate can be downloaded and has a unique ID that verifies you have completed the course. We don't currently provide paper versions of certificates as this helps us to keep our course prices low.

Does the Asbestos Awareness certificate have an expiry date?

Your Asbestos Awareness certificate will not have an expiry date. However, it is recommended that you refresh your training every year to ensure you are up to date with the latest guidance.
